At Genius Math, we regard each child as a diamond yet uncut, and lying deep within them is a genius waiting to be discovered.  We provide one-on-one tailored math tutoring sessions based on this philosophy.   All our expert tutors are certified and they hold dear to this philosophy.

We help all students from grades 1 to 12. However, to help us manage the needs of students effectively, we have divided the course into grades 1 to 6 and grades 7 to 12.

Click The Button For Grades 1 to 6 or Grades 7 to 12 At The Top Of The Page To Select The Grade You Are Interested in.

Our Method:

We work with the child to make them shine as the true diamond that they are and bring out the genius in them.

  • Online: We offer lesson through Zoom. All the child need is a laptop with a working webcam and a microphone.
  • Flexibility: We have a totally flexible approach to our program. Each lesson is planned to fit in with the family schedule and the child’s preferred times to have lessons.

Note: every session will be recorded and given to the child to go over.

  • In-person: If a student needs it, we have teachers who will come to a predetermined location to teach the student.

Note: Covid regulations will be followed.

it is all about getting excellent grades at The End of High School!

At Geniusmath, our goal is to help your child to get an excellent grade in math at the end of high school.  This goal does not change whether they are just starting high school or they are in their last year in high school.

What we teach your child will make a huge difference in the results they get in class and at the end of high school.

We equip students with practical and essential math skills that make a huge difference in preparing them for both class exams and the end of high school exams.

We make math fun for students as we consider the following features of mathematics in our approach to teaching:

  1. Math is everywhere:  Mathematical concepts are hidden in many different aspects of everyday life and they reveal themselves to us through mathematical language,
  2. Math is solid: Mathematical concepts are built on logically solid foundations that.
  3. Math is effective: Various applications of mathematics in every modern branch of science demonstrate the practical effectiveness of mathematics all around us.
  4. Math is Simple: Although mathematical ideas seem to be hard and complicated, learning the language of mathematics shows its simple nature as a collection of simple definitions and axioms.

What is included?

1. Free Initial Assessment. We find out what math concepts and skills your child is currently learning at school, what concepts they are finding difficult to master, identify their strengths and weaknesses and tailor the lesson plans to meet their needs. We do not only help with current grade problems but also help with weakness in previous grade and turn them to strengths, going forward.

2. One-on-one Attention Focused Lessons. It is a known fact that one-on-one tutoring is one of the most effective afterschool activities that helps a child to gain academic excellence above their peers.

3. Comprehensive Math Tutoring. We teach your child all the math skills required at their level and set them up for progress in the next stage of their learning

4. Total Flexibility to Fit in With Family Plans. We offer total flexibility around lesson times and choice of topics so your child can decide when to start and what days of the week and times in the day that they want to have their lessons

5. Extra Homework Help. Our tutoring schedule is completely flexible and we can devote some of the booked hours time to helping the child with their math homework.

6. Educational Guidance & Mentorship.  Our professional educational consultant with years of experience in teaching math will listen to your child and help them in their math education pathway.

Our Unique Approach That Ensures Better Grades For Your Child

We take a systematic and flexible approach to improve the mathematical knowledge and skills of students.

At Genius Math we recognize the fact that no two students are the same. Some students are quick to grasp mathematical concepts.  Others struggle to grasp even the basic concepts and it takes time to reach their full potential.

The flexibility of our approach helps us to design effective strategies for each student differently based on their needs.

In order to help each and every student to reach their full potential in math, we do the following:

  1. Assess the child’s level of proficiency in Math to determine their strengths and weaknesses in previous and current grades.
  2. Plan for the best solution by focusing on the child’s weak areas in math and teaching them effective studying skills that will improve their grade.
  3. After the assessment and planning, we provide an estimation of what we think the child can achieve within a certain time frame based on the number of hours and lessons booked.

How Many Tuition Hours is Sufficient for My Child?

We Organize our lessons in 5 hours, 20 hours and 50 hours packages

Every child has a different need.  Some only need a few hours of expert guidance to push them over the line to attain excellence. Such children may require one lesson or multiple lessons of about five hours each to help them with specific challenges they may be facing in math. Other students may need more hours to get to the level of proficiency in math that guarantees an excellent grade.

Depending on your child’s needs, you can book multiple 5-hour lessons. However, from our experience, most children need a minimum of 20 hours to master a specific area of math. If you purchase a 20 hour or 50-hour package, not only will this allow the child to have total flexibility to mix and match math topics and areas, but it is also cheaper than booking multiple separate 5-hour lessons. Furthermore, booking for 20 and 50 hours has added benefits:

  • Students Goal-Oriented
  •  Ultimate Scheduling Flexibility
  • Post-Lesson Progress Report
  •  Exam Samples Provided for Practice
  • FREE Mentorship to give your child the continuous guidance they need during the period with us
How To Use Your Hours Booked

Yes, it is mandatory for every student to attend the online evaluation. Thiswill help us understand where the child requires more assistance and build their strong concepts further. The evaluation helps us create a tailored curriculum for the student which is in complete sync with the school’s syllabus to ensure symmetry in learning for the child.

To ensure transparency and monitor the student’s progress, the team will be conducting weekly evaluation tests, the results of which will be kept confidential and shared with the parents through their preferred medium of communication.

Yes, the students can withdraw from the course within the first week.

Real Numbers

Besides natural numbers and integers, one can consider rational and irrational numbers which usually are introduced through their decimal representations. In fact, by using real numbers we can define the concept of continuous quantities which are the main objects in Calculus. Students will learn how to do arithmetic operations with real numbers, their exponents, and square roots. The notion of logarithm is also introduced which is the inverse of exponent in a way. Students also get familiar with the coordinate line in which real numbers are assigned to points in a numbered line.

Real Functions

Functions are almost everywhere in mathematics. Understanding this concept and its properties can make a huge difference in learning Calculus. Here, we start with the definition of relations, their domains and ranges, and various ways one can use to represent them. This helps students to know functions much easier and give the examples of their own. Different types of functions and their main properties are discussed among which we can mention polynomials (linear, quadratic and so on), exponentials, rationals and radicals. Students also will learn how to graph functions in coordinate systems by using equations of functions. A special class of function, i.e., logarithmic functions will be introduced, and their main properties will be discussed too. These functions are the inverse of exponential functions.

Geometry

Many geometric topics regarding two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes are treated here. In two-dimensional geometry, we teach students the concepts of congruency and similarity of planar shapes such as triangles, rectangles, trapezoids and so on. They will also learn how to compute the areas and premiers of compound shapes in the plane. In the three-dimensional geometry, students will work with solid objects in the space like cubes, prisms, pyramids, cylinders, spheres and so on. They will be taught how to measure the volumes of these solids and some of their basic properties. Some topics from analytic geometry are also treated here including the distance between two points in the plane, the properties of conic sections.

Algebra

After learning the base of algebraic concepts in grades 1-6, students are ready to embark on a journey in the world of algebra. They will learn to solve different kinds of polynomial equations of various degrees. Different approaches and techniques will be taught to students among which is factorization of algebraic expressions and quadratic formula. They will become familiar with some famous algebraic identities which can be used mostly in factorization and solving algebraic equations. Like rational and square root numbers, rational and radical expressions are also introduced, and students will learn to simplify them. Besides equations, we show students how to solve system of equations which are mostly linear equations involving several variables. Along the way, the basic ideas of matrices are also discussed, and students get some insight about this vast topic in linear algebra which they will see in college or university.

Statistics

In these grades, factorial and counting principles are introduced which are very useful when one wants to count without actual counting! These techniques are widely applied to compute probabilities in which counting is essential. Students will also learn the concepts of independent and dependent events and the proper methods to calculate their probabilities. The conditional probability is also discussed which deals with two events related to one another under specific conditions. Statistical concepts such as variance, standard deviation, normal distribution, continuous and discrete random variables, and regression line will be introduced, and students will learn some formulas to compute their numerical values in specific examples.

Trigonometric

Like geometry, the origin of trigonometry dates to ancient times when Sumerians invented their sexagesimal numeral system and the notion of angle. This old branch of mathematics usually deals with parts of a circle (arc, section, chord, and sector) and the sides of a triangle inscribed in a circle and their relations, which mostly uses the famous Pythagorean Theorem. We introduce main trigonometric ratios and functions and their properties. Two most important trigonometric functions are Sin and Cosine for which we have the famous Law of Sines and Law of Cosines usually used to compute the sides and angles of a triangle. One of the most important tools in this topic are the trigonometric identities which show the algebraic relations between trigonometric functions. These identities can be used in simplifying and solving trigonometric expressions and equations. Like algebraic functions, we show students how to graph a trigonometric function by using the properties of Sine and Cosine.

Calculus

This field of modern mathematics is the entrance gate to the realm of almost every branch of science and technology, including physical sciences, actuarial science, computer science, statistics, engineering, economics, business, medicine, and demography. Almost all students, who want to gain a university degree, must know this topic. Calculus encompasses a wide variety of topics, of which we will focus on main ones. Numerical sequences and series are defined, and some techniques will be given to find their limits and sums. Limits of real functions are discussed from which the idea of continuity will be derived. The concept of limit will be used to define derivatives of real functions, and students will learn many useful techniques for computing this quantity. Derivatives are the first steps in the course of Differential Calculus. Students also will become familiar with the polar coordinate system and its applications. Complex numbers and the complex plane will be introduced, which are the extension of real numbers. This new set of numbers plays an essential role not only in mathematics but also in physics especially electromagnetism and electrical engineering. Students will also learn the notion of vectors and their basic properties. These objects are the starting point of Vector Calculus which is one of the main courses in many academic disciplines.
